Straw

Western Canada has ample supply of high-quality cereal straw free from both soybean and corn residue. Producers in Western Canada’s Prairie provinces consistently plant between 25-30 million acres of spring wheat every year.

We have two booking times that work best for large dairy operators. The first booking time is the month of December where most of our clients seek to pre-pay for all, or a portion, of their next year’s straw supply. The second booking time is the month of May where our clients are looking to pre-pay and book new crop straw.

Yes, we make all the arrangements for shipping straw direct to your farm.

Most of our large dairy operators receive their straw in covered vans. This ensures their straw is delivered dry and free of road debris. We also offer delivery via flatbed trailers.

We guarantee a high-quality product. We spend a lot of time and energy developing trust-based relationships with our straw producers. We also can ensure your supply on a delivery schedule. Many of our clients who run large dairy operations rely upon on our ability to deliver the quantity of straw they need, when they need it.

We cater to large operations providing incentives for prepayment and early delivery of large volume purchases. We also offer vendor managed inventory solutions for large dairy operations with limited storage.

We pride ourselves on having inventory on hand 12 months a year. The new crop is typically available at the beginning of August.

If you order straw on an as-needed basis, we encourage you to set up an account and complete our new client onboarding process. By doing so, you will ensure to receive your straw in a timely matter, that works for you.

Cereal Rye Seed

We encourage early booking to qualify for early season discounts however, we have Cereal Rye Seed all year.

Germination rate, test weight, seedling vigor & seed size.

Yes, our minimum ship volume is one truckload. A truckload contains 760 bushels of Fall Rye seed.

Freight is different all over. We will quote timelines on a load by load basis.

Our Cereal Rye Seed is bagged in 40 bushel mini-bulk bags.
